Let us understand this with an example, the north direction which your marked on your layout. Every direction consists of 45°is 22.5˚ (1/2 of 45=22.5˚)
Now from the axis line of north, 22.5 degrees towards NE direction and 22.5 degree towards the left side is the area of north direction. Right side is known as north of north-east and left side is known as north of North West.
Let us take one more example south east direction, now from the axis line of SE direction22.5 degrees towards the left 22.5 degrees towards south direction.is the area of south east direction. Left side is known as east of south east in a similar manner, you can easily find out the area of all the 8 directions. these 8 direction get further divided in to 16 directions to be considered to fitout layout as best vastu direction for house
1. north 2.south 3.east 4.west 5.north-east 6.north-west 7.south-east 8.south-west 9.nne(north of north east) 10.ene(east of north east) 11.ese(east of south east) 12.sse(south of south east) 13.ssw(south of south west) 14.wsw(west of south west) 15.wnw (was of north west) 16.nnw(north of north west)
Here, all the 16 directions consists of 22.5 degrees. you can easily understand this from this diagram and chart.

Let us how learn, as I want to keep this study of the layout simple and easy we will only consider the 8 directions for this, you have to first give your layout a square or rectangular form, then from the midpoint mark all the direction on a property layout is explained in detail in the first part of this article, after marking the directions on the layout, find the area of all directions. Let us now study the layout. Here entrance is in south direction. The living room is in south ,sw, west .the kitchen is part in brahmastan, west,NW. children’s bed room in North east, North west, north toilet in north west, North south is preferred to master bed room.. for toilet is in NE direction of the plot is to be strictly avoided as this direction is bit special place to god or auspicious. in this North east direction you can have children bed room or study room or guest room also most of the case not found any issues.
Usually, 16 directions are considered while adding any layout .but, as if wanted to keep the study of the layout very simple and basic for you, so we considered only the 8 directions.
