Let us first learn in vastu shstra, there are a total of 36 padhas for entrances.

                               In this padas some are dev padas and some are danay (demons)padas. dev and danav padhas are explained in my previous article. due to the influence of devs and danas, some padhas are considered good for entrance and some not so good.in vastu shstra, a total of 5 directions are considered positive for entrances. they are

1. North
2. North-east
3. East
4. South of south east
5. West of northwest

How to find out whether our entrances are in these direction or not?

now we will learn for this, first you have to mark all the directions of your house on the layout. how to find directions of your house is explained in my previous articles, now you have marked all the directions of your house

North, NE, East, SE, South, SW, West, NW. now divide these four zones.

1. Zone 1 is from north to east, and 3 of the best entrances are in this zone. they are north, north-east, east. then it is positive entrance.

2. zone 3 is from south to west and this zone is completely opposite of zone1.this zone is not considered conductive for entrances.

3.zone2 is from east to south. south direction is normally not considered as a positive direction for entrances but there are few padhas in this  direction which are positive for entrances.it is the south of southeast .it is very easy to find out south of SE

How to find south of south-east as per HousePlansCenter.com ?

For this, we have to divide the portion from SE to SW in 9 equal parts and mark numbers on it from 1 to 9.here number 1 will be SE and number will be SW. here the 4^th and 3^rd part are ‘south of SE and if your entrance is in 4^th and 3^rd padhas then it is also considered as a positive entrance. you have to remember that the 5^th padha is not included. if your entrance comes in 5^th padha, then it is a south entrance. there is also another way to find out south of southeast. for that. .you have to consider south as 0˚,now the area between 5˚ and 25˚ then towards SE is ‘south of SE and if your entrance is in this portion, then it is a positive entrance.

4.zone 4,there is a positive entrance. i.e.  West of North-west  just like South of SE , West of NW can also be easily found.

How to find west of northwest?

For this, divide the portion from NW to SW in 9 equal parts. now number them from 1 to 9.here NW is no.1 and SW is no.9. here again, the 4^th and 3^rd padhas is west of northwest. if your entrance is in these 2 padhas, then its a positive entrance. remember that the 5^th padha is not included here. if your entrance is in the 5^th padha, then its West entrance. just like ‘South of SE, West of NW can also be found in another way. for that, consider west as 0˚,then the portion between 5˚ to 25˚ towards NW is considered as W of NW. and your entrance is in this portion, then its West of NW entrance which is the positive entrance.

        now, we know about all the 5 best entrances in vastu shastra and if your entrance is in any of these 5 directions, then it is a positive entrance. if your entrance is in none of these directions, then you need not worry, in further article, we will discuss such entrances and I will give you simple and easy vastu remedies for them.
